Experience
- Built an AI-powered medical document analysis feature for a health app, enabling the chatbot to answer questions grounded in a patient's uploaded reports rather than relying solely on general knowledge using AWS S3 Vectors.
- Engineered a RAG pipeline with three-layer cross-patient data isolation architecture, preventing medical records from surfacing across accounts—critical for HIPAA compliance and patient privacy at scale.
- Built a cross-session user memory layer that persists durable patient facts such as medications, allergies, and history into chatbot context.
- Implemented a complete account-deletion and ephemeral-document lifecycle pipeline covering vector chunks, S3 objects, clinical memory, and session digests, with a scheduled hourly sweeper to support right-to-erasure and HIPAA data-governance requirements.
- Reduced chatbot token consumption and inference cost by restructuring and modularizing system prompts and eliminating hardcoded outputs across the conversation pipeline.
- Architected a two-phase parallel routing system with confidence gating for emergency detection and medical topic classification, reducing misdirected queries while maintaining sub-100ms latency.
- Extended the GraphQL schema with document-aware chat mutations and wired full cloud infrastructure including IAM policies, cross-stack dependency ordering, and deployment pipeline configuration.
- Designed and implemented patient-facing REST APIs (Health ID management, profile updates, medical document handling) following CDK-driven infrastructure patterns, maintaining consistent auth and IAM policies across the stack.
- Designed and deployed a production ready serverless MCP platform on AWS App Runner to support real time GenAI workflows. Eliminated Lambda streaming bottlenecks by implementing a scalable SSE based architecture. Improved response stability and reduced streaming latency under concurrent user load.
- Implemented secure OAuth2 and OIDC authentication using Amazon Cognito. Designed user pool configuration, token validation flow, and protected API endpoints. Strengthened access control and reduced unauthorized connection risks.
- Designed and implemented a template management API to handle retrieval, creation, and updates of email templates including HTML storage and rendering.
- Restructured the MySQL schema to support multi-audience selection, enabling campaigns to target multiple recipient segments from a single send configuration.
- Configured Amazon SES auto-validation to streamline email domain verification and reduce manual setup overhead during client onboarding.
- Resolved critical S3 misconfiguration issues by isolating storage into dedicated buckets and applying proper IAM policies. Implemented CDN cache invalidation strategy. Restored system stability and improved asset delivery performance.
- Contributed to early QA cycles, produced and integrated both internal and public structured technical documentation.
- Deployed and customized OpenEMR, a PHP based healthcare management system, on AWS EC2 Linux instances for clinical use.
- Provisioned EC2 instances, configured VPC networking, and implemented secure security group rules. Ensured controlled inbound and outbound traffic based on healthcare compliance needs.
- Installed and configured database services for production readiness. Optimized environment configuration for stable performance under operational load.
- Diagnosed and resolved recurring 503 outages on an EC2 instance serving multiple hospitals, tracing the root cause to Apache MPM workers exhausting available RAM and triggering OOM kills with no swap buffer, by right-sizing worker count, adding 2GB swap, and externalizing config via Docker Compose to restore stable uptime.
- Performed system level customization including branding updates, module configuration, and workflow adjustments to meet healthcare requirements.
